Last night, my friend asked me to Re-Map Palomino Creek. I can't say no, no matter how much I didn't want to do it. I think I did well, after like a year of not mapping I think I am still skilled.
Although I'm not finished, this is more of a progress report and a list of ideas. I would enjoy some feedback and some suggestions with it. All I can say is, at least it's not Angel Pine. I think I ripped out my hair when I did that. The houses and concretes had to be on a 33 degree angle which is friggen annoying as hell.
With this re-map I went for more of a sleek and modern'er design of things. More fancier houses and a more gated like community, although there's not many fancy looking shops I didn't want to take the time to custom map buildings like the last time I tried Palomino Creek.
I mean, no jokes - I made a 7 story custom mapped, with custom interior in side the custom exterior skyscraper. It was friggen huge and was probably my biggest achievement in all honesty.
I might release this map, or just parts - the buildings comes with custom interiors as well, I have done some which I will release later cause well, idgaf. But they're a little better than last years interior'll works.

Step one, was to delete everything.
A slight tip for anyone re-mapping a town or creating a town, start fresh. There is no way in hell you can create something good with the original objects. Even if you do use the original objects in it, like in Palomino Creek I know for a fact I'll re-use the Library building but I don't know if I'll leave it there, I probably will put it back in the original place but who knows, It lets me think clear and when there's nothing there you follow a theme. Your own theme.
I deleted everything, went from scratch except the roads, usually I delete them too but it's too much effort. So I kept them.
Second tip, when adding houses etc. Relayer the ground, never leave the ground with blue in it. I don't do it all in one go cause there's three types of ground - Concrete, Sand and Grass.
You need a fancy entrance to a town, so I put a gas station next to some trees. With a gated entrance like thing... I don't know, but it's fancy. I'M SO FANCAY <3
This is Gas station, some visitors may come from near or far - but it's good to be able to pull right into a gas station, get some gas, food and directions. I know it'd make me happier.
Sometimes have a hole set of trees in a line just does not work. In this case, it kind of does. I made sure they weren't exactly placed and I made sure I free moved them an even added in my own taste of originality and added chopped down trees.
A wedding chapel is needed, who doesn't agree? Aaaand, it's next to a Hotel. Wink fucking Wink ;)
Well, at a church/chapel that does wedding - you need cheap seats to sit on during a lunch or cheap vegas like wedding? Am I riiiight?
The Hotel, good for being next to the chapel. Good for a cheap place to stay in, it's not extremely fancy buts it's a little place to stay which is good when you think about it. Poor peoples place, drug dealers place, who cares? They welcome anyone as long as they pay. Just like the Police bribe system in Mexico, blowjobs, peco's who cares?
Good things to get upto in the back of the Hotel, so your not bored. If your too poor and you want to take a girl out you can buy a bag of shitty sausages and bbq that shit up! IT'S THE HOTELS ACTUAL MOTTO.
With every good town and city and Hotel, you need some greenery and plants and shit, so with this I added the same bush from the lady down the road. I mean the road near the gas station... interesting.
Signage is key... simple as that, so is bus stops so people with cars can get around. I feel as if I've got it all down. Probably not, but it's getting there. The first thing I actually added to the map was street lights and stop lights etc.. you know the drill. Cause it's impossible to add them around buildings. Or at the end.
The first house... trash bins are out, you know gotta keep it fly. Fences up...
With a shitty house, comes shitty gardening... truth hurts.
It's a two story house, it's got some room it though. It may have two houses on it, but in fact it's like two rich houses on top of eachother and it's a fucking bargain mate. Keep it in toe.
This is important to me, My 67 year old granddad helped me design this. He went through the object id's wiht me on GamerX and GTA-SAMP.de and it was good to connect over a game, he's not to good with computers and he really enjoyed making something, he also helped me do the traffic lights and stuff like that, considering in New Zealand we drive on the left and in America they drive on the right.
Here's some street lights and a stop light.
Sometimes you need a hidden house for porn making and for admins to own cause they always own the best houses and have cooler cars while we work like dogs for a BMX. Truth hurts. I hate servers with shitty admins. They use the /givemoney command and what not.. Gay.
What shitty town is complete without a music shop? Omg. Dick's music store much. Dickfucks music shop.
Need'a slow down the dawgs with the g rolla's in they g cars slangin' drugs to the homies in the alleyways G thaaaang. So the po-po 5 0 dont let them get away cuuz.
The police in this town had budget cuts so they stole the other towns signs, cause they're too poor. Honesty =Best policy. Just cause they stole the signs, they gave every kid in the town a day to steal chocolate without being locked up... jokes. There is no police they all got shot. By Tupac. And Ice Cube, ridin' in a lo' lo'.
